Are you wanting to build a sub enclosure around that piece, or just make a duplicate of that piece?
Either way I recomend buying a roll of masking tape and tape up the entire pannel. Now get a drop cloth and cover anything you aren't going to fiberglass. If you have access to it, try spraying on some PVA (a mold release). Now build it up with mat and resin, and let it harden. Depending on the size mat you are using, I would recomend getting it thick, so it keeps it's shape. We tried removing a mold with only two layers of 1.5 oz mat used, and it warped on us. That's a lot of money in materials and time to waste.
Now if you want to permanently add fiberglass to that pannel, then sand down the surface of that pannel with 36 grit paper. Make sure to scratch it up really good. Now wash the surface to make sure there is no residue remaining. Now grab a small drill bit and drill holes along all the sides at least an inch from the edge. Also drill a few in the middle. These holes, and the rough surface will give the fiberglass something to grab and hold onto. Now just build up with layers of fiberglass.

ok thanks, but how am i going to get the contours of the original piece, thats what i really need to know, i dont want the whole thing fiberglassed

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the texture? My first example will give you the contours. If you want to make a duplicate of that pannel, then follow that step to make a mold, and then pva/tape the mold and add fiberglass. This should give you a duplicate of that pannel.
