Ok,ive finished my doorpods (made of MDF and body filler),and now i need to cover them ,ive got vinyl thats a similar colour to the door trim ,but i need some tips on how to apply it to the pods ,i know i gotta heat it .Anything else to help me along ??

Make sure you have A heat gun or something and A stapler because the vinly can streach to look perfect and the staples will help you to hold it make sur you staple on the side that you will not see,You can keep the staples in or out after the glue dries.Take your time it coud get hard or if it is flat it could be easier than I think...

the first thing you need is some good glue. like weldwood or keyston, you must spray it on both surfaces to make it bond correctly. take your time and donot cover the pieces completly at one time.

I am also in the process of making my own pods for the doors of my S-10. One pod is almost done, but to me looks like it might be hard to cover. I am no upholsterer and don't want to jump into something and screw it up. Does anyone know if vinyl is the best way to go? Cause I have some tweed in the truck already and would like to keep the same flow...
