I realize the beer brands ar optional and subject to diverse debate but I am looking for some pointers nonetheless. I have messed around with shims and some mediocre trim panels to flush mount some past heads... Can any of you give me some pointers about how to flush mount a DIN deck in a '93 Interga?
Also... what's the BEST way to make a little box (not sub) in the trunk that contours the trunk liner? I figured that a compass and cardboard would give a good impression but I am up for veteran suggestions...

It depends (finally, something I'm good at ). You see, first you have to check how much you got left to spend after equipment. Then scour the house for loose change and left over beer bottles (depending on state deposit...well, if you live in MI). I've formauled this little chart that has a beer vs. cash/qulity/effect ratio.
1. <$2 -King Cobra- Ah, the mystical 4d. Cheap and effecit, but takes a stomach of steel to put down. WARNING-King Cobra WILL make you go blind. 2. <$3-Milwakkes Best- A six pack of beer will make any job better, but if this is the best millwakke has to offer, I'm going somewhre else. In my opion, your better off with Bondo fumes. 3. <$4-Bush/busch light- Now were talking!, a six pack of Bush light is a stable in my home, and is about the best price/quality your gonna get. It also leaves one able to keep on using a jig saw. 4. <$5-the Mighty Bud- Ahh, budweiser, the king of beers. If you got the cash, a 6 pack of bud/budlight/budice, will make work seem like play. Watch out for the bud ice though, I've put more then one nail through my hand..... 5. <$10 - Guniess- Supposedly the beer of kings. If you like your beer thiker than tar, then by all means, Guniess is the way to go. Note this is 6-pack price.
Honarble mentions -Ice House (cheap and good..COLD ), Coors Light (a cure all classic), Mickeys Ice (I've had shots less powerful), Molson (golden if your candain, Ice if your actually a man, this is quality ).
loosers-Watever anybody tells ya, stay away from the RED BEER OF DEATH. It may not do anything at first, but the next moring you'd better have a years supply ot TP. The worst offenders by are Red Dog, killians, and that damn elepant.
Remember, always be safe. Keep your cooler stocked with ice.

I remember a cheesey beer a while back when I used to live near St Louis.. it was called "Red, White & Blue".. i SWEAR I saw a price of less than $5 a case !
But for me... I'm happy spending 15 for a case of Bud Light. Although one store had a sale of Bud Light bottles ( case) for 9.99 !!!

neex & dukk, you guys must be laughing your asses off. busch, bud and lite beer at that. my god, when i was in Michigan (cool place) last summer i was reduced to drinking lite beer. it was like drinking water filtered through a mexican (no harm meant by that one guys, it's meant as a joke). here in the land of the free (canada that is) i drink real beer, Labbats, molson, & yes guiness (it's got a rough taste, but man it's good once your used to it). oh and sleeman's. i'm sorry but in the beer department, you gotta go canadian. it ain't cheap, but it's beer, why not spend a little more on something that only makes the ladies look that much better. i'm canadian as they come, and i take my alcohol seriously. i'm only 20years old and the liquer stores hav'nt been asking for ID for a while. yes, the employee's know me well. for all of you out there that have had it before, if i were to give you a bottle of busch & a bottle of Labbat Blue, which do you think you would rather drink.
now don't get me wrong, i've had some american beer that was pretty damn good. most of them were from small microbreweries and such though. and ofcource there are some really bad canadian beers. but when it comes to drinking, i'm happy i'm in canada.

Newcastle Brown is very tasty! I am still sticking to my guns with Heinie though...
I used to spend a lot of time in Detroit and got 'used to' some pretty ugly cheapo beers. The most vile sampling had to be Rainer. I think it was about ten bucks for a 30 pack.

As a Wisconsin resident I feel completely obligated to join this beer discussion. I am currently throwing back an ice cold bottle of Miller Lite. Given my druthers I drink Rolling Rock, Guiness (good stuff), and my all time favorite that seems to be available in the U.P. of Michigan: Stroh's Dark. Happy drinking and even happier installing. Down at my local drug store they have six pack samplers for $6. (microbrews and imports) It's awesome, you save like 3 bucks if you get Heinekens and Coronas. My mom buys me a sampler every so often.
This is gonna sound gay but have you tried the new citrus Zimas? I was skeptical at first but I can't get enough of it now.
"What is this faggot crap? Ok, i'll try one...mmm, taste like kool-aid."

The only way to go is Molson Canadian, If you can't get your hands on it in the states your missing out, I don't know if you could handle it all American Beer is watered down horse p%ss... Well anyway if your man enough come to Canada and have some real beer.

I have to agree with you on that one. Molson products have never been my favourite staple. Candian breweries have so much more to offer than that. If it's FREEZING cold out of the cooler or something then it seems alright but otherwise I wouldn't even put it in my top 20. Golden used to be good but then they messed around with the formula (call me crazy but it's true). Given the chance I would pick Creemore Springs or Sleeman. Both micros that ended up with a face in Ontario and they taste fabulous.
tomatO tomAto... I am not knocking Molson mongers I just think their beer is plain average or below.
I really struck a chord with this discussion it seems.

Those "little" Rolling Rocks that they serve in the Bucket are great! They are about 8 oz so that if you are not power drinking you don't get that last mouthful of warm backwash! neex - I'm with you on the Creemores! Guiness (pub draft - NOT bottled) rocks, as do most of the beers from across the pond!
If any of you are ever in Toronto, and love real microbrew beer, do yourself a favour and hit the Amsterdam brew pub... you'll be glad you did!
Cheers!

I'll have to say Rolling Rock "From the glass lined tanks of Old Latrobe..." as my #1. Got a case in the fridge at home right now. I install for my friends for beer and pizza. I figure I could charge them money but then I would just spend it all on bills and stuff so if they give me beer it's guaranteed that I won't waste the money on something practical.
As far as flush mounting the head, I have made a couple of custom flush mount kits using 1/2" smoked plexi and a router with a straight cutting bit. It takes a little practice but it can be fun.
