99 Honda Civic 2door coupe EX tho auto tranny....
would realy rather not mess with shifting gears early in the mornings going to work and going thru traffic!

sony
model cdx-f7000

i looked at sony online already and found it says push the menu button to access other features like naming station/cds and most important turning off that anoying beeping it does and when ya turn it off that reminder beeping is already REALY geting on my nerves!
please someone help me out? do i REALY need to have the remote control to access this feature?
ive pressed every button on this turd trying to access it but i swear thier is NO menu button on the radio!

also MEADE... i know you know but anyone else thats got one of these civics... how does the radio bezel come off?
who ever instaled this radio did a REALY crapy job! the tray below the radio must just be siting in thier and flops around, and the bezel hangs out of the dash alittle. it isnt to noticable BUT that little tray under the radio anoys me as well when i hit a bump it rattles!
heres what i mean... click to view

 -

and might i say I LOVE THIS SUNROOF! first vehicle with one and i love it so far! tilt up or suck it back into the roof as well as the sliding block out trim panel. thats very nice!

i know im a goof ball.LMFAO but im still smiling about geting this car!
and for ONCE i buy a car that doesnt need tires... well it does need rims but not rubber.LOL

also one thing i never knew is the back seat and trunk is lockable! thats preaty smart. tho my car only came with one key.
i wonder if the dealership can cut me a valet key for it, since they say the valet key will only work the door locks and ignition but not the trunk and back seat. thats a nice little safety feature to have!
 -

also meade... where you get your formed carpet from? MINES preaty stained up!

BUT i always think its funny how you can always tell who drove your car before you cause it wasnt cleaned out when i got it.LMFAO

it had to be a women from 20s-30s, maybe one kid. maybe boyfriend that smoked (bastard burn holes!) and tonge ring, pierced ears, also liked to have her hair pined up, and loved starbursts, subway and nice cloths.LMFAO
 -
trust me thats not all thier was! even a busted beer bottle in the trunk. and tons of OLD melted starbursts all over the place! a huge mess!

BUT before i can start moddifying it i need to get the tranny flushed and also have the timing belt replaced and while the the fronts been torn off i might as well replace the water pump.
drivers door and rear bumper have been repainted, scratch in bumper and dent in drivers door. previous picture didnt look to bad. also it got new exaust pipe from the cat back.
worst part that MUST BE REPLACED is the rear tint on the back window! ITS ABSOLUTE TRASH! might not look to bad in the picture but its wrinkled like a MOFO inside and hard to see behind ya! PLUS why tint a window that lite? it looks like it doesnt have any tint shade to it!
tho i think i will go back on my word and will but a exaust tip for it this week.....

what you guys think?

With that year you have to take the knee buckle down and the glove box then you can take the part right under the radio off. And under that there should be two bolts one right in the middle and one to the right a little. After you take those two out the whole big plastic thing slides right out (it has clips also

jc whitney is a good source for pre-formed carpets. I got one for my s-10 from them and it was a perfect match.

ya im a bit of the talking/typing type... i cannt help that i amuse myself. (fill in the blank)

now another question for your meade..... is WTF did you do for a rear view mirror....
i put in my little 2 10s REs with 300watts and i must say. WOW sounds great so far!
tho ive gotta tweek the system alittle more. on the amp and radio.
but needless to say the freaken rear view mirror will not stay in one place!
i think ill have to pull the factory mirror off and go with a windshield mounted mirror!
and my floor shakes with the bass. i dont know how you hold your civic together!

sorry no new pics worthy of showing. same old box i built for the crx, tho its alittle to big and box is just about all the way back in the trunk. but o well still love this car! i just cannt smoke the tires or even squick em. kinda sucks, but o well. its a stock motor.

sweet tint ,loveing the bass
i like that! that should help out the car awhole lot! i was gonna strip the side windows myself but if those aint to much ill just pay to get em removed.
reminds me i gotta call and setup a apointment right now. hopefully he can get me in thursday to strip the back glass. then next week probably tuesday ill have them all tinted. i might see if he can do a seperate visit job, remove and tint the back glass... then later next week id come in and get the rest done. i get paid thursday and wont have enough to do them all at once that same day. but im not off till tuesday.

what kinda tint did you put on your sunroof? 5% as well?

EDIT had to add afew vids. tho i swear the mirror must have tightened up since last night.... it wouldnt stay in one spot last night constantly fell down so i would see my look at the floor.LOL
maybe since its alot warmer out.

as you can see from this vid. youll know when i close my sunroof then the roof starts to bounce....
 -

 -
its like alittle bumble bee WITHOUT THE STING! but it does have a new exaust, cat, resonator, and then muffler. but i think ill keep it quite!
 -

im uploading one last video for the day. tho it just shifted about the same time i let my foot off the gas.. but a county road is only so long....
maybe one morning ill break it out and try to go over 100mph... im interested if this things got a speed govener like my truck did. [Wink]

To be all honest this is what it used to look like

 -
 -
 -

35% on the front windows [Roll Eyes]

Now i don't know about the sunroof because i bought it from the dealer like that so maybe 20 i don't no.

But just get your self some Vinger and water windex etc and spray that on the back window and put her in the sun untill it starts to bubble and it will peel right off.

Also take a sponge with some warm soapy water to scrub off all the res from the tint.

you will save 65 dollars and he has to make sure the window is clean anyways so if you leave some tint behind he sold just clear that up for you.

SO that enclousr for the truck is done

na the trucks encloser is still siting waiting to be glassed more. its probably got about aweeks work of work left. glassing in the floor alot more, then finding out how to position the sub and glass that all in. and then geting it ready for paint.

thought id just edit instead of another post.
car goes in for tint tomorow afternoon [Big Grin]
also gonna get some black/clear taillights for the rear. of course with properly colored LED bulbs for HOPEFULLY any legal issues. only pair of lights that ive seen that look realy nice! and since its black [Wink] will match GREAT!!!!
this is the ones id like to use.

Do not start ricing that car up.

Take off the flames.

Leave the lights stock.

Do not put the headlight eyebrow crap on.

Save your money for rims, suspension, and an engine swap. You know, FUNCTIONAL stuff.

You'll thank yourself in the long run.

i still say 5% on the back windows and like 20%-15% on the fronts

So you could afford it

motor will be staying stock besides intake and header eventualy ill keep my truck for tire abuse! this is my new daily driver.
and the flames [Wink] well thier where only 6bucks at wally world and they are just magnetic....LMFAO
tho the headlights ive been kicken around the idea of the lids, or some stock looking carbon fiber ones, just to darken it up in the front, also take off all the emblems and paint em black.
and i love those black taillights tho! they aint rice and with colored led bulbs they will still be smart and legal [Wink]
this car looks sweet black at least i think so!
dont worry tho ill keep the stock lights! and not gonna buy those dual headlight/projector ones since i hear they are crap!
but i would like some HID lights. and im definatly doing my green glow under the car. thats preaty much my patented look around town at night.hahaha
but i would like my next high dollar product to be black rims.

just one thing at a time. tho next thing to buy will be insurance and plates [Frown] tho of course tinted liscense plate cover like always.

AHHHH nosebleed section!!!

def don't rice it out.. it's such a shame.

those tails look nice.. too bad they prolly don't make them in 4dr. (I'm looking for regular red/clear tails for mine.. like the 7th gen ones)

there's really no need to swap a motor in an auto.. becuz if you swap, you really want a stick, and a b16 auto isn't worth it, neither is a b18 auto.. h22 is a maybe.. but imo.. no

is that a d16y8 in there? I didn't see the vtec selenoid..

if you want to pop the tray out, take out the underside of your dash, then you have to unscrew a few things and pull them out, then the trim panel will pop out after you pry on it a little.. but be gentle
