if anyone would like to give me advice on doing a box for three tens i would love the help. i want to do one in the middle with the other two kind of hanging out on the sides, almost suspended in air. the only thing is i am not sure how to get the cloth around the ends so that it forms the enclosed air space and then how to stiffen it from inside? i did one where i took the back side of the fiberglass and kitty haired it thick and cut mdf squares and made kind of a grid with them. ended up stiff as all get out but i am not sure i would be able to do it on the inside of what would be like a tube(outside woofers)? thanx

One way that I've found to make difficult fiberglass boxes and other forms is the foam spray method. This takes alot of time and takes a while to get used to, but can come out very nice. I had a hard time understanding your post, however, try this. Build your frame and then spray expandable foam (In layers if necessary) to the aproximate shape you want your fiberglass to be. Then wait for it to dry (don't do it in layers to thick or the foam in the middle will be oxygen deprived and will never harden). Then start cutting, I start with the bare blade of a hack saw. Then use sucessively smaller blades, down to a dremel tool for final use. Carve the foam down to where you want it. (of course you've taken your box out of the car for this) Test fit it back in the car.... Then start laying glass over the foam, you can get some wild shapes this way. However it takes LOADS and LOADS of time, but can be well worth it. Good luck.
