I blew my head gasket yesterday, and I still have no paint job. I finally got the roll pan after waiting over a month to get it and a extra week to get it installed.

Ack - dude...that sounds like my typical luck

s-10 Head Gasket went back in Feb, 2000. Got a reimbursement (2/3 cost anyway) from Chevy though...but till then it was a BIG dent in the wallet .

Good luck

Well after taking engine apart I realized that it was only the head gasket ($20) that went out, no mojor damage. I got it put back together on Sat and I runs better than ever. (priceless) Another interesting thing I noticed when I took it apart was that the engine had no signs of wear (except the timing chain) for a 197K mile engine, and this being the first gasket that it has ever blown.
