i just bought a termlab usb meter and soon will get a laptop to use with it.
im going to start hosting crank it up's around were i live (south louisiana) to try to get more people involved and to meet people. the first one will be in jennings louisiana at sonic drive inn on May 1st then every first saturday of the month after that. im also working on haveing others elsewere, i have talked to people and others have talked to people so hopefully we might be haveing one every weekend here and there. (its also a car/truck show so if you have a car/truck to show off bring it on)

so if your from the louisiana area and would like to go to one of these just email me or pm me. or if you think you can find a place to have them get in touch with me. this will be small compared to say USACI or DBDRAG but we all have to start somewere. LOL. i hope this grows and im able to get people to help out so we can have bigger prices and bigger events. they will be prices to win also like amps, subs, box ect ect....

THIS IS THE CLASS'S

STOCK
1-2 subs/1-amp/1200w@1ohm
3-4 subs/2-amps/2400w@1ohm
5-up subs/3-amps/3000w@1ohm
all stock pannels has to still be in car
1-battery/1-cap
meter has to be on windsheild
can't rev moter
no wall

SUPER MOD
1-2 subs/2-amps/unlimited
3-4 subs/4-amps/unlimited
5-up subs/6-amps/unlimited
unlimited batterys and caps
meter has to be on windsheld
2000rpm rev limit
yes wall

EXTREME MOD
1-2 subs/unlimited amps/power
3-4 subs/unlimited amps/power
5-up subs/unlimited amp/power
unlimited btterys and caps
meter can be anywere in front of the B-piller
unlimited rev
yes wall

$10.00 to enter and $5.00 every run after
raffles will be $20.00 and will be a monthly thing (so $20.00 for a $200.00-$300.00 amp not bad)
only the 1st place winner will get a trophy, just until we get bigger.

this is just a few rule i came up with, if anybody can point something out that i might have miss please feel free to do so. i am new at this and need advice on anything you can offer.
ill post more when i can get more info.....

thanks
jamie

why not do us LA people a favor and host some officially sanctioned db drag shows? that would help us get points. Do it the right way man, we dont need another version of whitlee.

The way the new rules are in most cases you have to have a promotion company run the db drags. [Frown]

Let me know when you get your computer to run the sensor with. I might be interested in meeting up with you so we can do some testing on the termlab. We have a X meter at the shop, but I'm scared that a gain in db on it may not result in a db gain on the sensors and if you'd be interested in getting together for a day of testing or something I would greatly appreciate it. We could hook you up with some equipment and help with box designs etc if you wanted. We are getting set up with RE at the shop so we'll be able to order anything you want. Just trying to get enough money together for the buy in.

hey matt and scott do you think id be better off just to mimic the dbdrag rules instead of trying to make my own. so the ppl have a better understanding of the rules. then they can compete in sanctioned events and mine....

just thinking out loud

mmmm might get into a little issue if you mimic db drag rules word for word, there would need to be a difference somehow if nothing else in the wording and different names for the classes

make all classes put the meter on the dash... it'll be less hassle on the judges and alot less BS at shows. I love hearing people who go to whitlee shows and do port wars and say they are hitting 170's with 2-12's...when my MT 15 in my truck is 20db louder than their two 12's on the dash. Make it all legal SPL. Whitlee is not that great mostly because of lack of organization, second because in two dudes/ stock vehicle can go against extreme, and they have two many classes. Find a way to narrow the classes so more people have to compete against each other. Whitlee gives away too many trophies.

whats up man you got everything together yet? Went to a whitlee show today, did a 152.3 legal on those new AC's, it did like a 148 on termpro. Their new meters are alot more stiff than the old ones but still not a termpro. I wish I could have had all my amps working, that was with only two amps. I know I could easily get in the 50's on the termlab with one MT and 4 amps. I used a box I had laying around at the shop, way to small, only 150'' of port and 6 cubes. If I still had that box I used at whitlee finals, I coulda tacked on another 4.5 db or so to my score today. Sure wish I wouldnt have sold that one!
