So is there a point total I have to reach? I plan on going to this big show in Chicago, I think a Triple or whatever, if I win do I get to go? Also, I don't think I can beat any of those guys with 4 12s and 1 amp nor did I say it was easy, whats up with that

Kevin, compete in a "TKE" and your in ..... as far as my last comment dont take it personal, i just wanted you to be prepaired . Because paul has waived the points rule people think that the IDBL is a cake walk. i just wanted you to know you still have to have your system pumping and your mind focussed.See you there -Jeff

You don't have to place at a TKE, you just have to compete at one. You can come in dead last at a TKE and qualify for finals. You must be a member when you compete at the TKE.
If you don't have a TKE that you can attend, you can write to Paul P. at IASCA and explain to him why you couldn't make it to a TKE and he has the discretion to invite you.
Easy way: Compete in a TKE Harder way: Convince Paul that you should be allowed at Finals without having competed at a TKE.

Officially yes. I think the next closest TKE for you is probably going to be in Chicago in August or West Virginia in September.
I would contact Paul P. at IASCA (become a member first) and talk to him. Since you have competed at a TKE, he would probably be more willing to let you compete at finals, even though you were not a member at the time you competed. Paul is a nice guy and really helpful. Give him a call. (His number is on the IASCA website.)
