Anyone going? I am thinking about making the road trip. I am in the Idbl 161-260 class and am only hitting 146.5 - very consistently though. Is it worth my driving time to show up? Any points over there for me you think??
Who all is going? What class are you in and what numbers are you posting? It is supposed to be indoors according to the website but I just talked to Troy and he said Idbl may be outside in a tent. Pretty HOT for that! SQ will be inside though. Sounds a little biased IMO. He thinks the fee will be $50 for two runs.

I will be going this weekend. I compete in Stock 1-160. I'll have my new wall finished, and it should be a dB or two louder than it was before, hopefully more than that. I'm usually between 153.6-154.5, or was that is. It's triple points and you will more than likely place so if it's finals you want to go to I wouldn't miss it. I hope IDBL is indoors, for some reason my car is louder when it's not running anyway.

there is no requirement to have your car running at the comps ... i guess your exhaust is causing a cancelation .

Actually I belive I have ac ripple off the alternator, and at an indoor event you cant (or your not supposed to) have the vehicle running in the lanes, unless the building has superb ventilation.

Can you be in your car (with hearing protection of course) during an event like this. I put in my new Alpine 7949 and now the remote won't work through teh window. Maybe I will make a podium - will that look dumb for only 146dbs?? One other question about podiums - how long do you usually make the connecting wires (probably limited by RCAs) - 15 ft sound good?

Guys, I am hosting an IASCA Idbl Key Event (double points) in Kitchener, Ontario if you need to accumulate points. It is on AUGUST 12. Call me at Natural Sound (519) 744 3111 for any details.

All of the IDBL shows I have been to....over 9 shows so far this year have allowed competitors to stay in their vehicle if they wear hearing protection, which is provided. I have a podium, sometimes I use it sometimes I dont, I just made a small box just to hold the headunit and set it on the back of the car.

How much are the points worth - is it worth a 500 mi trip for a 3X event - one way??? Or should I just stick with what I have and see what happens? looking at 40-45 points without this weekend. This is in a IASCA unpopular Idbl zone as well.

It never fails that if something goes wrong, it happens to me! My subs wont be here till Tuesday, they ship from california so maybe I could meet them in Ohio on saturday?? eh, doubt it. Chances are unless a miracle happens I will be unable to attend this event, just like I've been unable to attend every other goddamn event this month! Oh I'm so pissed! And my 6" areoports don't come with port tubing.....where the hell am I gonna find stuff to fit these in two damn days, and get it all together? I can't and even if I could it's kinda hard to play with only one sub, cause I'm running my spare one for the moment. I'm bummed about this I was really looking forward to this show. But if I don't go to this one, which.....I'm not, I'll be in perry.....hmmmm, facing off against last years world champion who will undoubtedly be there, next month will prove to be an interesting and educational month to see what my future holds.....

Kamikaze, Think you vehicle will be ready for August 12th. If it is you can pick up double points at JAM IN THE PARK in Ontario. That, and Canadian beer too!

How far away do you suppose that is from Albany NY? With any luck I believe I found some tubing that will work at a local plumbing outlet. I can't believe lightning audio only makes the 6" flanges and not the tube, thats rediculous. Well it should be done the end of this week. I made a new front baffle on the wall and the subs are flush mounted this time, by the end of the week I should have it paneled and vinyled too. I already have 130 cap points for this year, but I would like to get around to some of the bigger events before finals.
