Ill agree I'd almost gurantee the setup in that guys car won't do a 150....but everyone else is saying theres no way w7s could ever do a 55....all i'm saying is anything can be loud its all in the install

Ya Like I sais before I have to see it to beleive it..I have never seen out of all the shows I have competed at a JL sub taking top honors and people say you can use them for SPL..Not if you want to keep changing subs out..I will stick with my REs or Atomics for Music and SPL..IMO Kurt

Some people need to realize that not everyone wants a system that hits 155dB. The guy who got the nice expensive install and only hit a 145 was probably extremely happy and probably gets alot of attention with his vehicle because it looks good, sounds good, and is loud enough for everyday listening. Second, JL makes good woofers, I dont care what anyone says. I work for JL dealer and we have very few driver failures and the ones that do come back have been completely abused. The subs sound good, dont need a ton of power and work in relatively small enclosures. As far as the install in the pics of the SUV with the subs firing to the rear, no it probably doesn't do a 155.7. Now, the guy with the wall with the 2 W7's is a very nice guy. He and his team traveled down from canada for USACi/IASCA unified finals. I met them there and that thing was loud and did work fairly well. Cut them some slack, he may not be the SS1-2 world champ but its loud for what it was and the amps he was using and they were great friendly people.

Don't get me wrong, I hate people who lie about their numbers more than anything. I hear all kinds of crap everyday I am working at the shop. It gets old and I like putting those people in their place when we go to shows. Just because someone lies about their number though doesnt mean that someone else couldn't do that number with their equipment. I am willing to bet that Terry Brocks could put a couple 10W7's in and still be in the low 50's. Just my two cents.

If anyone knows that JL car,ask him if he wants to get metered on a Termlab.I live real close to him, then we all could know.
I like his last sentence.
"If u want big #'s on the meter, u better have JL in the trunk".
Made me chuckle.
