I dunno if some of remember me from sdot. I came here because they flame so much, anyhow let me move on. I'm in a delimma.... I could get 6-Solo X 18's and run them off of three tarantula amps. I've already purchased the amps and 2 subs. Moving on, each pair of subs would get one amp, which inturn gives each sub 1000 watts. Or I could go with 4 Solo x's with a dedicated amp per sub (hafta buy another amp) that would give them 2000 watts rms @ 4 ohms. Which would be louder? 4 or 6

Truck: 2003 S-10 Full blow through.
Box: could be possible 45Wx32Tx70D
Tuned: interchangable usually tuned to 25hz
Going for SPL, but more SQL when tuned lower (i know they don't sound that good)
Also, there will be 2 alts and 6 batts fyi

So, what do yall think? which would be louder?

why tikkle a sub like that with only 1000watts each? [Roll Eyes] c'mon, she wont be satified and she'll tell all her friends! [Eek!]

if I go with 4 each sub would get 2000 watts

where the hell would you fit 6? Can barely fit 4 in an Astro with enough port. I would do 4 and 4 amps then eventually 4 more amps [Wink]

I would get six more amps to add to those two you already have. Then run 4 amps on each sub.

buy 1 more amp and keep the 2 subs for now and save your money for more amps and subs down the road

2 solo x's with 2 of those amps on each one would get you louder I would think but I may be wrong
