Exactly. A sealedbox is great for finding freq but thats it. Noone runs sealed unless they want to get smoked by a ported enclosure. Also ported enclosure is way more effecient than sealed. I seen to many woofers grenade in sealed inclosures more often than ported. So there wasnt a sealed enclosure at SBN at least not in SPL. Maybe sound Q thats it.

i think i saw one sealed box in smax 3-4 a crx with a sealed box above the window line...4 APX 12's and some AB 150.1's...low score

It wasn't this year, it was 2001, but I won USACI Stock 151-300 with a sealed box. I also set a new record on the B&K. I did not attend USACI finals, but if I had, I would have been a contender with the sealed setup.
I don't think sealed in a street car can win over ported, now. The days of sealed for SPL are gone. I now can get the same score I had with the 6-12's and 1 amp, with 2-12's ported and the same 1 amp.
