I know I am probably gonna get ragged on by buying this thing, but I didnt have the money to get what I wanted right now. I bought a Boss RIP-695 amplifier, supposedly 1400 watts bridged at 4 Ohms x 1 channel. I know this isn't the right specs (over exagerrated). It is also supposed to do 700w x2 @ 2 Ohm. Well, I just hooked it up, made sure everything is right, went around the corner to tune it (large parking lot), got it to where it was sounding decent, or so I thought. What has happened is lack of bass. When I had the Logic Soundlabs 400x2@2 Ohm, I was getting 140+ db, now this thing sounds like it is getting 50 to 90 db (haven't put on a meter yet). It has a serious lack of bass problem, until I turn the bass boost up, which I did not have to do on the other amp. Also, the remote subwoofer level control has no effect.
Anybody familiar with the rip-695, and know what it needs to be brought alive?

I kind of knew I should have gone with the Logic SoundLab amp of that was max 1200w x2@2 ohm.

What to do?

Never mind, I found the problem. There is a very little square hole in between all the gains and settings. This hole contains a 3 way switch thats sets the amp for High pass, Full range and Low Pass. I set it for low pass and the system came alive. I now have way to much bass in the car, can't be in it driving with the system on volume 5. I like, I like.
