I have been tossin the idea of setting up a SPL vehicle with sq capabilities in a 1990 Chevrolet Corsica. Right now I dont have much as far as components go, but what I do have hits hard. The specs are : Jensen MD3510 HeadUnit Depth Charge 15-DC40 4t for dash 180 watt Logic SoundLab 2 channel amp 2 12" DVC AutoTek SS-1244 wired @ 2 ohm each VC in a sealed box (really need ported for SPL?) Logic Soundlab 400w 2 channel amplifier (2 ohm stable) Soundstream Passive EQ.
I am not sure what I am hitting right now, since I can't find a local shop with a SPL meter, and I don't want to use a radio shack crap. What do y'all (yes, I'm a sutherner) think I'll be able to hit DBwise with this setup? Would it be wise for me to upgrade the sub amp? Or should I just give the whole thing up..hehe (won't do, can't do, bass is my life)
