Hey everyone i was just wondering if carpeting my enclosure will reduce the SPL Much?

In a daily driven street vehicle, no. The carpet is just for looks, won't hurt a thing. I just always paint mine though, since I don't have any carpet in my truck. In an extreme vehicle, you won't find carpet 94% of the time and if they have a seat, it is one of the racing type seats (unclothed) like they sell in Summit. But in a daildriv, seats and carpet are usually more important than .3dB

carpet has hurt us. one competitior close 1.5dbs. crazy i know but it did. lol

I have also seen a Team mate lose a full db from carpet. Needless to say I won't carpet anything anymore, paint works fine and looks good.

i dont show many people my install anyway.

if you wanna making it kinda eye appealing, look into the fleck stone paint
