i wouldnt listen to dan wiggins for tuning help... hes always screwed my boxes up NOT to say he is a bad guy or anythingt as a matter of fact hes very understanding and always been a BIG help when i had my adire tempests.
id say buy a mic from rad shack and figure out ur best numbers at low volume... u know by changeing ur freq. higher and higher until u get to ur resonant frequency... then go to a shop that has an ACTUAL mic and then do ur final adjustments...
dont foget to make ur box 6 cubes and give it enough port to let those things breath.
P.S.- dont run them for dialy driving like that cuz i blew 3 of them doing that!

I'm not gonna say he definitely is right, but I definitely see it possible. Had I taken the time to change around a few things with my install before, I coulda had 4 Tempest over 160 on 2000 watts, which isn't bad for a $140 woofer. Now I'm going with 2 Brahma 15's and my goal is 165.

phew! i thought that maybe i had gone crazy or something. glad to see i'm not the only one in disagreeance. i am not going to knock his box designing abilities because he went and found out the perfect ported box for my xtants, and they were LOUD and sounded BEAUTIFUL, but i'm gonna write back and see if that was a typo or not cuz 25 hz is like crazzzylow.....

Yes, and he didn't say what meter either. On a Linear X, its easier to get a high reading from a lower frequency than a higher frequency because Linear X's aren't tone sensative like Audio Control.
Also, he is used to working with USAC people running outlaw, so you may assume he meant legal, he may assume you meant outlaw.
