sweet smitty we need a longer cable that 6fter is a lil on the short side. does the longer cable affect the reading any? thanks for the input ppl lets keep it going.

oh as for the .5 off was that on a termpro? and how accurate would u say that termpro was? if it was legit then i am very very very happy with the kriss meter and what we have done so far.

ok, the longer cable doesnt affect the reading, now on accuracy it is dead on a calibrated termpro when the batteries are fresh, good, and basically new, if they are old it starts reading high, however the most off I have seen is 2 high, at SBN mine was reading high 2 with the batteries about to go out, infact, we did measurments on the Saturday, not alot just a few and on Sunday they were dead, got back home put in the ones and it read exact to what I hit at SBN. Also I called Kriss about getting it recalibrated and they said only when it you can start to see it reading bad, and it only costs $50 to do that, not a bad deal to me.

Well no more burpin for the Buzz for a while, I think the Alpine is sold so we'll have to concentrate on the bass bubble Suho..
I want to do the Secret box for the 15, I think Im going to try to scale it up some. And I can probably get the s-vid cable cheaper at work if we need one.

I too have one of these meters.

I finally had a chance to have it tested against an AudioControl mic today at a USAC event.

My mic. read 158.5dB and the AC came up as 158.6dB.

I'd say they're "dead on". =)

At the Arlington show I metered about 13 cars... lets just say no complaints. Several got the exact same number on the Termpro. Most were within .5 db. Even I was surprised it was so close.

Ok who has come up with a way to make a LARGE display for their Kriss meter. I have a guy here at the electrical enginering department of our college that is going to luck into a large cld display for me. Like 2' x 4' Just hoping someone else has already got on designed. How does the audiocontrol LCD display interface with the sending unit? Maybe I could modify one of their displays

any word on that large display? this would be a very good item if you could come up with one that works, we have been looking into one, trying to find a large display multimeter, or something similar to that, having no luck though, so if you can get one going please let us know thanks.

oh hey just to let you guys know, I found a guy on ebay selling S video cable, 6 foot male/female ends, not the dual male like you find in the stores, and they are only $2.99 each, just do a search on S video cable on the front page of ebay if interested, and his shipping isn't high either, just ordered 3 and total with shipping was like $13, so for those that don't have an inside track on some cable this could be a good idea.

cool man, I was thinking all you really needed to do was make a large display for a multimeter, or look for a company that does so, anyone know of one that does? or know if there is some sort of large readout for a stardard ie lab VOM? this is getting very interesting, hope yours comes out good
