Everyone keeps mentioning this brand as a major spl player, but I've never even heard of them before, anyone have any info on this up-and-coming brand? Thanks!

Gentlemen... isn't this how rumors are started? Making statements without knowing the facts. TREO is a company based out of Englewood, CO and is in the process of building a line of subwoofers including entry level, street beat, and competition style drivers. Yes, Metro Audio has played a big role in the development of the line over the past 10 months, giving input on samples as we tested them. But the company is for real and will be expected to make an incredible showing next year. I am excited and cannot wait to see the results!!! The Griz has spoken.

P.S.
Any questions, just call TREO at 800-530-5925

I will back the Griz on this one. I think I am the only person on the BB that has see the Treo applied to competition. People say it is a Jugg that has been altered. No way, I have seen the motor structure, which looks nothing like a Jugg, and if Metro is building I subs it wiuld be a huge surprise to me. For those who want to know how it performs, all I can give you is a few numbers...1 12'' Treo with 1 MMATS HC hit a 152.3, 1 Treo 15'' with 1 MMATS HC hit a 156. If the guys who know me and live in the area I will have 12 10 inch Treos in my Sentra by mid winter. I really want Thor and Thumping to come down to Ames some time and check them out. You will be very impressed. Thor I know you got you DD's, but I know Thumpin is looking into new equiptment. You will also be shocked by the price. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong Griz, the competition series are around $450 for 15's. If you guys are interested get ahold of me, I can help you if you decide to go with Treo's.

Ok, don't take this as a rumor, but this is what I saw ok?

There is a company called TC sounds, they exist only for the purpose of manufacturing high excursion subwoofers. They did carver's sunfire driver (sick little beasty.. and you though 9515's moved ! ), and they have a picture on their site that looks like the aluminum eclipse subs.. I think they do the manufacturing for a lot of the latest high excursion drivers.. Take a look at their site, i forgot the address but the name of the company is tcsounds.

Just wanted you all to see it, i thought 8800 series was an eclipse in house...

Hey smart ass,
Just so you know, you can buy the same subs John Henry has. I don't work at Metro, I am getting my subs directly from them. They have them in stock and sell them to anyone. Good shot at trying to cut down Metro a little more. I am really getting sick of this crap.

Whooooaaaa Leprichann!!! Chill!!! I think we need to step back and take a look at the situation. To answer Proaudio 150's question, you can call TREO but will be referred to us as we will be the first dealer nation wide to get the line. And yes you would be able to get the same driver. PERIOD! They are still getting production rolling as they have done a ton of research before even opening the doors for business. Very professional this company. I can't wait to start getting orders in on a regular basis!!! Right now it's just bits and pieces. But good things... no... great things come to those who wait. Feel free to shoot anymore questions my way!!!

tony,
you need to calm your ass down! the whole pink slip thing was bad enough, now this? i dont mean to be an ass, but why do you think metro gets a bad wrap? people shooting off their mouth at the drop of a hat. just when you thought no one had a beef with metro, stuff like this can stir up a frenzy fast.

Mike,
The only reason I went off is because some "big meanie" (is that better) : )....in the chat room started bitching me out about this sub. Saying it wasn't available to anyone, and that metro will only sell them to certain people. Then he started the talks about "anyone using Treo will be pro, because no one else can get them". I just snapped on Proaudio150......sorry there......I don't know I guess I just got really excited when I saw a Treo thread, and didn't want people to start more rumors....sorry everyone.
Tony Jordan
P.S. You're right the pink slip thing was a bad idea, because he doesn't want to do it now!
