Topic: what will I hit with this setup
This is my first post. What do you think I will hit (estimate), 3 JL 12 w3s, 1 mtx 2x25 high output (high current 1/2 ohm stable) in a hyundai tiburon hitting off of the back glass. box is 5 cubic ft. with a monster port tuned to around 55 HZ. also wondering the best voice coils to get to get the right ohm load to the amp (1/2 ohm stable). any suggestions appreciated. thanks------------------ 3 JL 12w3's, MTX 225 HO, monster port

Well you would probably want to get the 12w3-D6's. Wire them to a single 1 ohm load on the 225HO and I think you'll be fine. As far as spl goes, I would say mid to high 140's. Having the box tuned to 55hz wont make it sound very good though, so if this is a daily driver I would either make it tuned lower, ie 35hz, or be able to cover up the port and use the box sealed for daily driving and use the port for comps.------------------ Eclipse/Soundstream/MBQuart/RF/PhoenixGold/GroundZero

I like the W0's better.. I talked to JL and one of they techs said they get less W0's back than the W6. They could not explain why.Two W012's with 600 watts hitting mid 150's
Cerwin Vega is still the loudest
