Dont get me wrong the term-lab is a great meter. But in many peoples opinion the x is a more acurate meter. Then again what is acurate? Anyway I hope that clears some things up. I will admit that im quick to speak up about NSPL. Thats because I believe its a fun, honest and fair orginization. Thats why they do have so many classes.
I much rather use a X than a Termpro. I know that I can go to Fred's shows, and if I make no changes in my truck, my score will be the same every time. THAT is accurate. Termpro's seem to be a little funny in that way. Now, if you are on the same Termlab meter, than yes, the scores will be the same, but, I believe Fred has access to more than one Termpro. The X does'nt give high scores like the Term, but, it is the same scale for everyone.
As for standing out and speaking up for NSPL, I still have records on the side ofmy truck for 95. I was at some of Fred's first shows in Washington park. I know of the NSPL old days...I will always support Fred and NSPL. He's been a great benefit for us, if it was'nt for him, we would have almost ZERO competitions in NC.

Gotta agree with everything so far about the LinearX. Very "tight" meter, very consistant, the smoothest response of any meter I have ever worked with. Never "freaks out" and gives a crazy # that you can't duplicate. I think that it takes a longer sample time- hence the more consistant "lower?" results. Glad to see NSPL using it. Everybody else(except MECA) needs to get a clue and run a real meter. I'm looking for a chance to compete in NSPL, I guess I'll drive if there isn't one in TN. Might be a good excuse to see family in NC and SC See ya at a show.
