Since I live in the southern pines area I might compete in the NSPL. What class would I be in and what numbers have people been putting up in this class. I'm going to have 2 15's and 4k watts. 1 alternator, 7 batteries and a non wall set up.
Thanks,
Ralph

You will more than likely be in the Beginner 1001 & up Class. On Fred's meter most people do in the 130's & 140's for that class.

Fred's meter was 7.8 db down from the Termpro I hit. Still good fun competition.

NSPL has so many classes! What class does my Omni fit into? I'm an amature, the car is built for dB Drag 1-2 Extreme, with two 15's.

I said most people do 130's and 140's for that class. Yours was the exception Bobby. Also, we don't know if he has a car or a truck.

Did you go to Burlington? How did you do? I think I'm gonna be in your class for DB Drag. I'm the one with the Camry. Watch out. LOL

Natural, you would be in the modified speaker class. Check the website for all the classes. I think there might be a power class as well.

Fred put him in that class.

Same way Jay Lovelace was at the NSPL Finals with a 3 woofer Honda Civic..doing a 144 in the Extreme 9 + class. But we won't get into that now will we...

Well I should be a beginner if there is such a thing since I have never competed before. It's in a car but it's a non wall.

Well my first car show ever was in sanford Nc last year. I just gat 5 batts 1 amp and 2 subs not in a wall.

I got ripped off when I bought my 2000x. anyway I figured out ways to get the stuff cheap so I would not get ripped off anymore.

You can call fred at NSPL and he will back me up. I was a beginner and I still am but I do have some skills but dont worry I will not be in that class anymore. I really did not think of it as a beginner class anyway it was the only class that I could compete in that was a no wall class. Now Fred has made a class modeled after me. Consumer 0-24",0-30", and 31-60". So blam wut deen broham. Olll yea by the way my system was hooked up in a parking deck the night before NSPL finals WUT DEENNN

I don't compete beginner, I was just asking. I do Pro Trunk for NSPL, and I love the NO Wall Class for DB Drag.

hehehe Bobby you are funny, you know as well as I do, that a yellow shirt had nothing to do with the out come. I will act as if you did not say that. P.S. compare your scores on the X NSPL uses there was a FEW tenths difference in the two scores.

Just to clear it up there are a few different types of classes availible for you guys go to www.nsplcompetition.com to find the one right for you. If still in question email fred on the feedback. The new and greatly improved NSPL website will be up on April 1st.

Ok, I read through all those and I don't have a "trunk" so there goes trunk class. I don't have a back seat so there goes beginner spl. So I'm going to end up in amateur 1001-up unless I can go consumer spl (no wall). How do they determine how much each sub costs? Do they go by msrp? I'm going to use 9515's so even used they are $250.

Did you get it recalibrated after last year's Finals? Because there was a 6 db difference between dB drag's meter and the X. On EVERYONE's score. But we're not crying since it effected everyone.

About the website: I hope it goes well. I tried e-mailing Fred in the past through the website and never got any responses. I hope it goes smoother this time.

I'll be back soon.

You will most likly have to go amature BUT you should ask fred to be sure. Start a new topic and put FRED in the subject line.

The old site did not work well at all especially the feedback/email. The new site will be much better and updated as often as it should, the to be ex-company being used will no longer be used for the site. There will be a q & a section and one to post things.

The Linear X does read lower than a term-lab it always has and will. It is not tone sensitive, and there is no problem with one lane being lower than another. Dont get me wrong the term-lab is a great meter. But in many peoples opinion the x is a more acurate meter. Then again what is acurate? Anyway I hope that clears some things up. I will admit that im quick to speak up about NSPL. Thats because I believe its a fun, honest and fair orginization. Thats why they do have so many classes.

I was not trying to step on toes here just being honest.

Thanks
Nate

Conclusive....Where did you get your Treos?
I'm scrambling to try to put together my system and start competing this year just for da fun of it. Nothing crazy right now...........I have a black 4 runner and I plan on slapping 2 Image dynamic 15's in a ported box. I only have 1000 watts of power so I'm hoping with da right install I'll get low 140's. Will wait and see and hopefully see some of you cats this year since I'm actually off on weekends now.....
