Fred, will there be any restrictions on how many runs of 1/0 in the No Wall classes?

Nice touch on the (much needed) 1 extra batt in the 0-24 classes!

Good job, Fred!!! [Cool] [Cool] [Cool]

ill be in Car 0-24” should be really fun. amperage draw is figured how? is it based on internal fusing of the amp like 5 30amp fuses would be 150amps?

Yes for amps that have internal fuses, but for amps that don't,Fred will go by manufacturers rating,or for the amps that don't have either,Fred will rate accordingly within fair judgement.

Strappable amps will count as two, not one, when linked.

You have D2's right?I have never had the chance to work on one of those amps, but going by that low fuse rating,I think that fuse is part of a protection circuit,in that amp, like a short circuit speaker protection.I bet if you raised that fuse to 60 amps, you could run a lower impedance,on those amps. There is know way,to get 3000w,out of an amp that only draws 40amps of current. The Super-Conducter concept hasn't been fully developed yet.I bet in another 15-20 years,it will be possible to produce 3000w,with a 40amp current draw. [Eek!]

You are correct Steve. The fuse in a D2 is on the outputs, and stock is a 30A. Everyone replaces them with a 40A fuse so that the impedance can go lower. They are an ATC style, so good luck finding any bigger than the 40A that are in there now.....although I would imagine a piece of 8GAU would work well..... [Wink]
