Discussing things like holding shows that aren't NSPL events? That's like going to jiffy lube and handing out Pep Boys flyers.

I posted this show up here for a reason, not to take competitors away from Nspl, but to gain interest from shop owners and teams who would contact me to get the full details of what we are trying to do here. I am trying to start something to bring customers in the store. Not take anyone else's slice of the pie. The way I see it the so called sound off organizations have done nothing but pushed customers away from the stores by making it so no one can afford to play the game. Thats why other stores like mine do their own shows. Also there is no reason to compete any more. Why do you think rims, paint jobs, and car shows have become so popular. When I judged shows back in the mid to late 90's people took pride in their work not only did they come to the show with a banging set up that would PLAY MUSIC, but also LOOKED GOOD. the numbers weren't all that high then, but their pride showed. Now bare boxes and walls with lots of amps, wire and batteries just laying in the back have turned people off to the shows. People don't come to see that and hear BUUUURRRRRRRPPPPP! They come to feel and see something spectacular. I am not trying tick anyone off....... But maybe its time I did. I could care less who builds shows. I'll promote anyones event even my own competitors shop here in our town. I just want to see more customers come through my front door spending money. And that's the bottom line. If you can't understand that, then there's no hope for car audio. Here I go again writing another book and this show isn't even for competitors. That's why we are calling it Kings Of Street Bass.

Maybe you should give Fred's new format a chance. MidwestSPL worked well for us here, and the clamped power WORKS. It shows customers that their pawn shop amps don't do the power they are rated at, and shows them that the amps that they thought were too expensive actually are worth the money. Shows only work if the retailer actually gets behind them and is excited about the format. I would rather pay someone to come do a show for me, as that gives me more face time with my customers and potential customers, rather than sitting behind a computer.

If this format is so great why has it been changed allready 2)If the amplifier exceeds the manufacturers rated power then the amplifier will carry the adjusted Nspl power rating. If the falls below the manufacturers rated max power then the clamped power will be the rating. This rules was changed from what fred p.m. me for 2009 season "If the amplifier falls below manufacturers power rated then manufacturers rating will be the rated power" Rule changes during the season no matter how small are fair to no one. If this is true then all scores and records before the rule change should be DQed. Its only fair.

This rule was discussed at the very 1st show and there has only been one since, which I did not attend. The clamped power will work good in my opinion. For example, I have 2 Memphis Mojo 4kw's. Clamped I am only getting 2500 watts each(on 12v), not 4000 each. Not fair to make me run in an 8000(as rated by Memphis) watt class when only have 5000. Right?

I agree with this also this will put all the amps in the right classes. I have seen a 2k6 clamped at 1ohm doing 2600 watts on 12 volts!!

The most important thing in your clamped power ratings,is what was your impedance rise Walt, and Raymond.Without calculating that you can't maximize your optimum spl,in your specific application.

I was just using myself as an example about the rule SunnyD was referring to.

I deleted the post as it was advertising a non- NSPL sanctioned show.

Im closing this one as well.

You can petition Wayne to get your own section here at Termpro for your organization also, as Fred has.
