is anybody into "scratch dj"/turntablism music, ie: real hip hop?

check these out:

\dj eddie def - wax people - song #13\

\return of the dj (compilation) - volume 3 - songs # 1, 4, 8\

and of course, some drum and bass:

\goldie - the incredible sound of drum and bass (listed as 2 disk compilation, not under goldie)- whole thing is good\

these have way more bass than all the rap/dance/techno i used to listen to. dance music bass doesn't touch the bass in these albums. i wish everybody could listen to these songs. hard to find stuff, but if there's a virgin megastore nearby, they'd be there.

As for Dj's; I'm a fan of DJ Rectangle & DJ QBert. If you want bass IMO Lords of Acid have quite a bit.

goshdarn!

a-track and kid koala have dates in my city within the month of may. i missed a-track's already , cuz i was out of town, but kid koala is pretty soon.

it's pretty rare you mention those two specifically, more so because i live in the middle of nowhere basically, and no one is into that kind of music that i know locally.

but i have a feeling turntablism is going to break through soon...
