BostonAccoustic made (still do make?) a 3 CD set that tested everything from T-Rex bass to Angelic highs. Also, AudioSource made (again, still make?) a cd-player cleaner/tester that cleaned the laser and then tested the system for stereo quality or surround, and then burned in the speakers and the speaker cables.
I'm sure there are pleanty of others out there. If you have a local shop, ask the sales & instal guys. Also, check on some of the Net-sales pages like MMXpress to see if they have anything.
I'm not sure how it is with these kinds of cds, but you could do a search of the Library of Congress for titles. That'd be a lengthy process, but great exp. for future research .

Well it's a movie sound track Dance's with wolfs is a CD that has all kind of music in the high range and in the low range.Trumpet a ton of horns and stuff,drums etc.
