======== Sweet DIO News: This summer Dio will be welcoming back Craig Goldy (saw them with Tracy G and Vivian Cambel, but not Craig Goldy) to the six-string position, replacing Doug Aldrich for the next tour. Dio will be hitting the road with Iron Maiden and Motorhead this summer and Aldrich will be continuing on with David Coverdale's Whitesnake for a European and American tour. Goldy last adorned the axe for Dio’s Dream Evil (Reprise) and 2000’s Magica(Spitfire).
Ronnie said of Craig Goldy’s return, “New is old and old is new. Our longtime guitarist Craig Goldy will rejoin the band for Summer European festival shows and for a 6 week US tour with Iron Maiden, Dio and Motorhead in July and August. We Rock!”
======== Zakk got himself some good TV air time this Spring: ZAKK WYLDE IS NO ANGEL... but He Does Appear On The WB Show Angel Wednesday Evening
Wednesday night (April 16th) on the WB, Zakk Wylde will appear on the show as a guitarist performing in a club. Wylde does play a major part in bringing tomorrow's episode to its rousing conclusion, but you'll have to tune in to see what happens.
No stranger to the screen, Wylde was also featured in 2001's major motion picture 'Rock Star' along side Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston, and has also appeared on Fox's MAD TV.
In other Zakk Wylde news - the reaction to Zakk's new album continues to go through the roof. The first single "Stillborn" was the #1 most added track at active rock and rock radio its first week out and sits at # 21 on the rock chart this week. "Stillborn" is quickly becoming a smash hit.
A video for the song was just completed two weeks ago in Los Angeles with Rob Zombie directing.
