"The door jambs may not be modified in order to pass the string test."

My question is about the "in order to pass the string test" part. I need to modify the lip "IN ORDER TO RUN BOLTS THOUGH THEM."
(NOT in order to pass the string test). Note that the baffle/subs would still be able to clearly pass the string test with the stock door jambs.
