hey wayne in the street class where u can only have 600watts rms.. what if the rating givin dont include the letters rms?and does this also mean that if a manufacture is nice enuogh to give a complete performanc report wich states the amp doin like ..lets sy 725 watts peak ...does this mean its not legal?and so what if a manufacture sells a 800 watt amp but the only rating they plubish is 400 watts rms and thats all that means u cuold use this amp correct?....i dont think thats fair that we cant use a amp jus becouse a manufacture gives us every lil spec they can about it ...and people can use a bigger amp jus couse they dont publish all the specs that dont seem fair to me ....i jus want to know if im thinkin right here thanks spl magician(i wish)

The competition world is actually only a very small percentage of the whole aftermarket car audio marketplace. Most manufacturers rate their products accurately because consumers are comparing their products to those of other companies. If the amp manufacturer rated his product at a lower power, the consumer might choose a different brand with a higher rating.
We only go by RMS ratings, not Peak ratings. Our goal is to put up an on-line database shortly that will list various makes and models of amplifiers along with their dB Drag Racing power rating.
