ok so helping a friend out. The install is 2/3's done. Going to deaden the floor of the Astro van. Pealed back the matt and noticed 2 very big rust holes. How can this be fixed according to the rules. Person is in SM.

Normally you can weld a metal plate in same thikness than the original floor over the holes or do it with fiberglass... But just weld at the edge of the plate...

but now since they have brought it up and fix it to what one judge says.
Another jude will know to look for it and won't agree with how it was fixed and dq them.
I've learned its better to not ask then to leave it up to the judges who never agree on anything

I looked up an OEM replacement floor pan to figure out how thick the metal was and got the equivalent thickness steel sheet metal at Lowes for my repair.
I'm assuming that it will be legal - hope so anyway as I can't compete with a giant hole either
