I have a chevy trailblazer and my box is in the back behind the rear seat, but it sticks up about 4 to 5" above the bottom of the window. I am going to try for the street c class, but i read in the rule book that if your box extends above the horizontal plane of the lower most part of the windows it will be considered a wall.(chapter 6 sec. 4)(and in the wall def.) If that is so then i would have to go to the super street 3-4 class is this true

If you remove 1 battery you could go in Street Max. That way you could also experiment with moving your box around a bit, getting closer to the front of the vehicle too.

he could move it around a bit if he stays in SS too ..... either way I would just build a new box under the window line then you can keep all the equiptment you have including the second battery and compete in street class

whatever class you decide to be in your not gonna be anywhere near the top of your class.... im not knocking you but it takes years of learning and trial and error to get as loud as the big boys. If you stay in SS 3-4 the top guys are above 165db in North America and if you decide to go in street c the top guys in the North America are at or above 157db. If you wanna get in a class that you can be competitive in you should look into street stock and get your feet wet. My first year I did SS 1-2 and got my butt handed to me lol. I would take your first year of competing and go to have fun and learn... dont worry about how loud the other cars are just worry about learning from the loud guys and apply what you learn to your car The best thing you can do is talk and be friendly with everyone.... good luck in whatever class you ultimately decide on, and like I said listen to what everyone has to say because 99% of db draggers are more than happy to help

Installing car audio and being "LOUD" are 2 completely different things... I had been installing car audio for along time before doing dbdrag too and take everything you know about building a box and toss it out the window, spl enclosures are nothing like daily driving boxes. In addition to be competitive in SS 3-4 you need to build a wall buy some actual spl subs, atleast 40,000 watts worth the amps, and atleast 20 big 16v batteries. Good Luck
