For clarification, any competitor who shows up after the end of qualifications should NOT be allowed to compete. In addition, if the show promoter specifies a cut-off time for registering for the event, they should adhere to this time and prohibit anyone who shows up afterwards from competing.
During the elimination rounds, it is imperative that competitors be ready to compete when their round is called. If, after a reasonable time and effort has been made to locate the missing competitor, he or she should be disqualified if they fail to show up.
Finally, if competitors are lumped together in a common class, the DBDRA cannot award points to the competitors in that class based on our standard classes. We only award points based on the classes offered by the promoter.
If the show promoter lumps these three competitors into a single class called "9+ Subs", we can only award points for 1st-8th place in this class. We will not award 1st place points for Competitor #1, 1st place points for Competitor #2, and first place points for Competitor #3, even though they would be in different classes at the World Finals.
