Wayne,
In my car I built the enclosure externally. When I put it in it was a very tight fit. The door jam on one side cracked when I slid the enclosure in. It broke into 3 pieces. I couldnt find a new door jam that would fit in the junk yard. I used bondo to put the pieces back together. I didnt add any on the jam to make it wider or thicker, only to make the broken pieces stay there. My question is this, is it still legal? I would appreciate it if you can help me Wayne.

If the repair is as you describe, then you would be considered legal.
