If i remove my battery box and replace the hole with flat steel can I compete in Street Max 1-2?

Its a 1992 festiva the spare tire well is cut out and the box is mounted there with 4 SVR 12 volt batt's

As long as its behind the B pillar you can do what ever you want. that will make no diff. in the score beacuse you can have a wall if you want.

You cannot have floor cuts in SM. If you weld the panel back in the I would think it is legal. If it is a flat panel it woulnd't be

how does having 4 12 volt batts put you in SM 1-2??? [Confused]

From what I understand he cut the floor out to put in batteries and now he wants to take out the batts and drop down in class.
