There are numerous ways to go about doing this. All are consuming on the pocket book as all car audio products are. High Output alternator is one way. One to replace to the stock alt. costs between $250-$900. Higher voltage batteries are another way to go. I would NOT recommend using higher voltage batteries unless installed by a trained professional. You can seriously screw you whole car up and you stereo system.

If you want higher voltage from the deck( stronger signal) I would recommend a line driver.

first off do u have an import car import cars have an internal regulator in their alternators so it is a preset to the output voltage. u can get a new alt from mr alternator.com for $200 and then make custom brackets oh yeah (2oo amp alt). but make sure a pro does it if the belt does not turn right u will not see 100 ampheres. preout voltage line drivers wirk just make sure u got high current wire so u will not track noise because line drivers are noise magnets and so is wire or u can get an eclipse head unit 55060 or 55040 nd u willnot need a line driver (8volt and volt respectively and thats not max voltage either its pure 8 and 5 volt). a trick i like to do to make sure i do not lose much voltage through wire is put dielctric grease around the terminals this does 3 things
1) makes a better connection/conductivity
2) no corrocion on battery terminals
3) costs less than $3.00 to do this
