Is this what you use to seperate your batteries.I know the chevy solenoids only have three terminals because they hook straight to the starter.Do the ford solenoids have four?Power in, power out,12v swithed,ground.any help?

I used a Chevy. It was intended for auxillary accessories (lighting, etc). Costed about 30 dollars. It has a switched termial, a power in, power out, and a ground. Make sure whatever you get is rated for continuous duty. Most auto parts stores can help you with this if you describe what you plan on doing with it.

I wouldn;t trust a starter solenoid for continuous duty. As mentioned, an auto parts store should have one for continuous duty. So will a specialty autosound shop but it will cost more...
