for example optima yellew is a deep cycle batt, for repeated dischage, it seems its only helpful if the car is off. and the red i dont really understand but belive it is best for keeping voltage from dropping, something to do with current. what should be used. my car is a hyundia elantra im going to be using 1000-1600 watt bass amp.

what do the blue offer. iv had yellow before ,and it worked very well. i just want to keep voltage as high as poss.

its not voltage you've got to worry about. Its amperage

You want a battery with the highest cca along with the higher amp hours (AH)

and the bluetop is it [Smile]

Yellowtops have been known to die after a couple years. I've got redtops that are still doing great after 10years.

Powermaster. That's what I moved up to...but I went to a physically bigger group size as well.
