Is it fine to run a deep cycle battery on a daily driving vehicle? I was told it wasn't good but I thought it didnt make sense at all.

Generally a deep cycle battery uses thicker plates that allow it to be discharged over and over again without ruining the battery. It is much more forgiving when used to power a large stereo system.

A regular starting battery is design to give you a large surge of current used to start the vehicle and is then recharged by the alternator and is not designed to be discharged on constant basis.
