Oem alts putout average of 60amp to 120amp. your car uses 30to40amp on average. if your have 2500 watt rms amp it will pull 100-200amp depending on efficiency. Best way to test is using a clamp and DMM. Search on here there are threads somewhere in here that show how to test for amp draw.

I would say anything that 800 rms or more upgrade you battery anything above 1500 then it would be nice to upgrade your alternator then depending if your going to go with more than that it depends on the amplifier and how much current you are actually pulling you will always benefit from at least an extra battery or several the way I look at it is its better to have more than not enough but if you going to run more than 1 battery its good to upgrade your alternator too so your batteries will charge properly

I would upgrade the big three, then add a battery in the back with the amp.
