just wondering if anyone has tested the SPL differance between these two batteries? I have heard the CS9000 is stronger than an NSB90 and was just wondering how the 2700 compares?

If it's the same size it's pretty much the same battery.

Just get yourself some BC cells and find out for yourself. Then you can put a sticker on it, and "sell them".

the battery that was first asked about was the 2700. i was commenting on that one. notice that i gave a neutral response, not leaning one way or the other. the 2700 would be the one that is comparable to the cs battery. more on this later........

None of the batteries in this thread use BC cells.

If someone tests the 2700 and the CS9000 to be louder than the other its only cause they were charged differently. I personally would go with the 2700 because of price and a USA run company.

I don't think that is such a good point personally!

I won't take sides on one battery vrs the other cause quite frankly, I don't care.

BUT, to say that the one that has won the most is the best is a very interesting take! When shocker woofers won the most it was said that given the chance with a different brand of woofer someone might have still won...so I will say here...

given the same people that are using the most winning battery if they were to use another brand of battery that uses either the same or close to the same internals they may find they would still win...see my point???

My vote, until someone actually buys one of each and tests them on the same day in the same car, NOBODY knows the answer of which is "better" and even then, results may vary due to charge, age of battery, brand of amplifier etc etc etc...it would take mulitple people doing said test to really have concrete results that would actually have any substantial meaning behind them!

I have an idea, each of you supply me with a battery and on the same day we 3 will get together and do a test and see what happens...are you both up for it?

I suggest we do a comparison between equally (or as close as possible) priced units! I think this is a great idea and remember both of you guys, we are going to do this in a fair and sportsman like manor!

Now, the question is, when can we get together? This sounds like alot of fun [Wink] I love abusing, er, I mean, testing equipment [Big Grin] I don't want to just call out a date as I want to make sure it is a good time for both of you...Also, cactus if you can't make it personally due to geographic limitations you could appoint someone to represent you so long as you trust them to propperly prepare and maintain your battery(s) for testing!

Lets do this thing [Smile]

SBN, hm, I haven't been there in a few years! I'm thinking to do the test in a car, pref not yours or kents own vehicles but other than that I don't care whose! I would also like to do this test with 2-3 different amplifier configurations if possible just to see that comparison as well...have batteries precharged and time limited recharging between rounds of testing, everything must be well documented so we can come back and post honest and fair results! Too bad you are so far away, you won't be visiting fort wayne anytime in the near future will you?
