My crx has a B-series engine in it. I had to use a bracket off an Integra LS to get the cable to lean back instead of straight up. I believe that would work fine on a stock motor as well.

Thanks! Well it's not real hardwood but some very cheap laminate, costs about 1$ per square foot over here. But it seems to hold up pretty well with the light things I use it for, more or less just for storage and testing in the rex.

I did not see one at Finals. It is a consumer removable piece that is held in place with scrwes. It can be removed and reinstalled with handtools in the time alotted by the rule book.

so are ya'll using electric fans? My fan shroud gets hit by the battery. Scraper told me to take a look at old finals pics to see how people have the nsb-90 mounted, but other than a few pics on this post, I don't seem to see any other good pics. IF you have them and don't mind sharing, please thanks! My battery, it kinda puts pressure on the return coolant hose and it sits next to the clutch cable and by the fan shroud

I have just looked through all the pics again and I was kinda curious on if ya'll have to beat in the fender well part next to the battery in order to get the hood to shut right or what you do? I'm looking for a good mount position

I have a slim electric fan in my db Drag CRX. also used a HEAVY duty ribbed upper radiator hose. I used both these items for the swap mainly, but, it helped out alot for the battery.
I have NEVER used a hammer in the engine bay to get a battery in there. You simply have to think and play with the battery to get it in there properly.
The engine is actually larger than stock. The hardest thing with the B-series engine swaps is the transmission cable is right in the way of the battery. It requires a clutch cable bracket from an Integra LS to "lay back" properly for the battery to fit. Or, you can go to a machine shop and have them angle the bracket back.

a big battery will fit with ac if you just move the ac lines a little i put every battery you can have in mine. nsb, optima 31, kinitek 2400, finally 3200 all fit with ac.
