Okay guys, I'm starting an install into a '94 Suzuki swift. It's going to be complicated, but it's going to rock. At the moment, I only have one tiny amp hooked up, but I can already teel this car needs a serious alternator upgrade. Put it this way, the amp is a Rockford SD230, (remember those?) running four 4" speakers and a single 12" Punch DVC. It's enough to get my wife and I through the winter but it's nothing compared to what's going in. Already the light are dimming on the car with this little amp and it's only got a ten amp fuse on it. Scary huh? Does anyone know what alternator I might be able to fit on this car? The Suzukis are the same as the later Geo metros. I'm probably looking in the 120 to 175 amp range. Is ther a high output chevy alternator that might fit this engine. It's a 1.3 litre four cylnder. Thanks for any help.

Ronster.

I've got a 225 amp alt. on my 3.8 V6 and it does fine. When it's loaded down, it pulls a little bit on the car, but, not too bad.
