How does one go about making a power override switch so the key doesn't have to be in the ignition? And how do add in LED's for when the override is on? Thanks y'all!!!

So, what your wanting is a way to listen to your stereo without the key...right? To do this I would start by finding the electrical schematics for your particular car. One think you should also consider is that some cars have 'smart keys' or keys with some microchip in them to avoid theft...these 'features' vary in application from car to car. Again, refer to those schematics. If this is an older car, it will be MUCH easier. You might just be able to run a splitter from one of the leads on the back of the ignition switch (again schematics) to a seperate switch. If you have a newer car and this is probably not an option, and is going to be much more difficult. You might even consider giving the manufacture a call, asking how to accomplish what your after, they might not be able to answer your question but its worth a shot. As for the leds, you might be able to run them as simply another item off the new switch your going to wire in. Something to atleast think about.

Wouldn't it be alot easier to just run you Romote and power wire off the back or the deck straight to the Battery??
You'd need to Fuse both those wires and add a little switch so there not always on but i think thats all there is to it
