What If I run 2 guage into the distribution block, then 8 guage out to the amp. Does it effect anything switching to a smaller wire right before the amp. I mean alot of current will be going throught the wire then all of the sudden cut it off to a smaller wire? Is that bad?

You need to run a wire big enough from the battery to the dist.block to handle the total amount of amps all the components you hook it to will pull. The wires from your dist.block to the components should be big enough to handle the total amps that one component can pull at full load.you could run 2 gauge to the block and 4 gauge to the amp.they make reducers to make it possible to hook bigger wire to small lugs.Hope this helps.

Oh ok, so I could run 2 guage all the way to my one amp. Then get a reducer to fit the wire into the amp? Is 2guage to big? I will be running the wire approximatly 15ft.

Nothing as of right now. But When I install everything in a couple days I will have two spl 12's a usa300x and a old RF amp running to my highs.
