RF as in Rockford fosgate???

Well I will tell you this almost every battery sold by car audio manufactures are made by someone else for them. Then they just put thier sticker on and mark it up %100.

Go right to the source and avoid the markup

I have never seen them, but i would assume they are probably similar to the lightning audio batteries. If you can get em pretty cheap, I say go for it. Let us know how they turn out.

They should work. We have 10 from Exide. They are supposed to provide you with 1100 amps for 5 seconds. Just a couple of things. You can charge them at 30+ amps. But don't charge them at over 15 volts as they start to gas at that voltage and they have no vents. This is what I got from the Exide guys when we picked them up. Good luck with them. We have not put them under full load yet so cannot tell you any more right now.

I wouldn't use a Rockford Fosgate battery considering that their own demo vehicle uses lightning audio batteries...hmmm? I use Rockford subs so I definitely don't have anything against the company. My HX2's have outperformed any other sub I've ever used (JL W0's,JL W3's,JL W6',MTX,Kickers,Premiers) Although, if I were rich I would have four JL W7 13's instead...

The only reason there demo vehicles likely used lightning is because RF owns lightning. And I believe that RF offering batteries is a newer development.

I was referring to the first Nissan Frontier with the six Punch HE2's, 2 BD1000.1, and 2 power500.2's...I have no clue on the batteries though...and I was unaware that RF owned lightning. I have a lightning audio 1 farad cap and it really helped my drain. I still have a small drain and am looking for something to turn to as well. I was thinking a red top, but I was told that I might need something more than that...although my drain isn't always and isn't totally bad, but b/c I have a 99 Cougar my alternator is under the engine and above the axle...so it cost me $400.00 to replace the first one...

Just a bit more information. The new RF battery is the same as the Lightning battery. And both of them are the new Exide XCD battery.

I guess my assumption is correct. It is the same as the lightning audio battery.

I have a magazine article from a few yrs back. They tested the stinger, svr, lightning audio, and yellow top. and if price was no object, the stinger had the best amp/hr rating, then the svr, then the lightning, then the yellow top.

Anyhow, if you are getting a good deal, jump on it. my svr75 was 180+tax.
