What do you do to wire say 2 Ga up from the Batt to the Alt? I know on GM's that there is one wire that you just connect it to, but Fords.............well......

I think you will first have to tell us what type of ford alternator it is. There are quite a few models. Specifically is it internally regulated or external?

Reguardless if you are trying to upgrade the stock charge wire, there will typically be only one post on the back of the alt with large guage wire leading too it. This wire will show 12v at all times. This is the post you would connect your 2awg too.

yes it depends on the alternator.. all the fords ive worked on had a bolt post on the back of it just for this one big wire, but aparently not all fords have this? i got a 2/0 wire coming straight off my ford 3g altneroatr

It's an 88 Ford Escort GT, it has two black wires with red stripes that run from the alternator to the starter cylanoid on the fender next to the battery.

Both these wires are charge wires I believe.
They both run to the same location right?

Actually don't they even share the same fusable link?
