Ok, I am going to be getting a nice pay check this week, so I am looking to replace my stock battery under the hood. I know I have pleny of options, but what would work well with a 600 watt amp, to keep my voltage from dropping more than it does. And if I do get a new battery, do I need any extra connections or anything of that sorts?

I would suggest optima yellow top , very expensive bout 160 each . The red top optima for 120. are starting batts only . They are not deep cycle like the yellow top but have higher cca . i guarantee you will love those batterys i just bought 2 and they work better than any other batts ive tried . I have tried diehard gold , interstate and they dont even come close to comparing to these . They wont give you any more amprage or voltage than the above but will provide alot longer like due to the deep cycle desighn . i have noticed my voltage dont sag at all like it used to and my system even sounds better . they have 2 yr warrantee so you will save money not having to replace them as often . It really depends on your needs and listening preferences. If you dont plan on listening to your system with the engine off for long periods of time i would go with the red top .You really cant go wrong with either red or yellow top . Price for price you will find that interstate, diehard and other regular batterys will cost you near 110. for 1000cca , where you can spend a few more dollors and get one that will last ALOT longer and be much better at keeping your voltage stable.
