Arr-Arr-Arr - More power - *grunts* *thumps chest*
I had an old pair of Infinity SM-85s (8" 2-ways) sitting at home that "needed" some new mid-bass drivers (They're in the basement, not a necessity - but most wise!!). So, I figured I like the way the Vifa 6.5s sound - why not try the 8s?!
WOW!!! Maybe I'm forgetting how nice the Infinity speakers sounded before, but now they have mid-bass from Hades!!
Might have to give some serious consideration to a Vifa 6.5" install for the s-10 and 5.25s for my wife's Mazda Protege. Very smooth, and great response. For the type of music that I listen to (metal, rock, classic rock) = *Big Thumbs Up*.
*Thumps chest* *grunts* Arr-arr-arr - More power good....

What type of mounting/enclosure? I am assuming they are 4ohm versions, how much power you putting to them?

My Vifa 5" woofers really don't like the cold. They sound muffled and distant, until the car warms up.

~1 cubic foot ported enclosure. 8 Ohm version (home system). Getting ~100 WRMS from the Onkyo.
They make 4 Ohm versions for the car environment (4s - 8+ [I think they make 10s & 12s]). The 5.25s & 6.5s are very nice (I think they used to make the drivers for SS, but I may be mistaken) - if I go with a component set-up, I'll probably do a Vifa & Morel combination.
