I just purchased an Infinity 602cs 6.5 inch component set. I was wondering what kind of encloser I should put the mid in. I would like to get good midbass out of them, possibly down to 60 Hz. Is this unrealistic or possible? What encloser would help me with this? This is for a SQ system. I can cut them off as high as 100 Hz, don't have dedicated midbass driver yet.

In fact, most midranges operate well in boxes SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than 1.5 cubes.. Such as .2 to .4 cubes... Also, remember, you can use 1 or 1.5 inch ports for these small enclosures without any problems.. Ported will ALWAYS rule.

I will be making some small boxes for my 6.5" components as well within the next few weeks. It seems that ported is the way to go for a box like that, so could someone tell me how to find the resonant frequency for it? Thanks.

If you have room for a 1.5 cubic enclosure, sure go for it. Like SS stated, .2 - .5 will rock your speaker's world!! Porting them is never a bad idea either, but depends on the music you listen to also. For bass-freaks and metal heads, ported is very nice. But, if you like classical and jazz and blues, etc. then you might want a sealed enclosure.
As for who to talk to about the size, res freq, etc.: Dukk, Audiophyle, and Techman are the first 3 that come to my mind. Anyone on here would be a great source, but I've read A LOT of good comments from these three over the last couple years.
