I was wondering if focal had a budget line and how that line compares to other components in the same price range...
budget = under 300 bucks for 6.5 components..
*Note: Little DRagon plugs his ears in anticipation of the tremendous roar of laughter at the very mention of a budget focal!

They did a little revamping this year, but last year there was actually 5 lines for Focal. Not all had the Kevlar or the fancy magnets on the subwoofers. Pricing for the lower lines wasn't far off your budget...

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't focal make, or a part of, Profile/Califonia? I'm probably thinking of the wrong company, letters and names get jumbled for me sometimes. Woops, that was Fultron, not Focal.....too many similar letters...eesh.
I think Dukk has the right of it though, they did offer a few more lines last year. Also, take a look through PartsExpress. They carry Dynaudio and Morel (think they still carry them), so they may carry Focal too. Might want to ask John at MMXpress.com.

You might be able to find the April issue of Car Audio & Electonics product directory at your local book store. It has all the info about any product you can think of. Focal has two different component sets that are in your price range.
Gotta love those product guides. So many things I want but no damn money. Someday, someday.

They had a paper cone line last year that was like $225 for the 6" that was horrible. Then the next line was better than the 4th line. Then the Bora was in my opinion just as good as the Mistral stuff. In our board it all sounded bad compared to our other stuff. But in cars it was awesome. This year with only 4 lines, I dont know what to tell ya. Get with sqaudio@hotmail.com on ebay. Thats Andy. He has the 165K sets which is the replacement for last years Bora's. They are this years second best line. He has them pretty cheap with full warranty for like $265 I think for 6.5"
