Im trying to decide on a new pair of mids and highs but I cant make up my mind on which of these sets I want to get.

Its between:

Alpines SPX-177R 6.5 TYPE-X COMPONENT and Type-X 6.5" mid-bass in front

Focal Polyglass 165 v1 6.5" comp. for the front and Focal Polyglass 690 CV1 6"x9" 2Way Speakers for the rear

or

Boston Acoustics sl60 6.5 comp. for the front and sl95 6x9s in the rear.

Anyone have experience with any of these?

I haven't heard the Alpine type X but I had Type R components and didn't really like them verry loud not so clear.

I have heard the Bostons and I like them. I also like the Focals [Big Grin]

It comes down to how you like you music, I like Bright Crisp highs, The bostons sound kind of dull to me on the High end compared to the Focals, where as the focals have a very bright tweeter.

If it was left up to me I wold go with the Focal setup also the Glass 6X('s are amazing [Big Grin]


What kind of car and how much power are you feeding them?
